Since graduating from The Nottingham Trent University and completing professional membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Adrian has worked as a Chartered Building Surveyor in the UK regions, London, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg within a variety of surveying fields and as part of multi-disciplinary teams. Experience has been gained in the following key areas:
Building Pathology
Undertaking property inspections, identifying defects, collecting information and measurements, diagnosing causes and mechanisms of failure. Preparation and delivery of Technical Due Diligence and Building Survey reports for the acquisition of all property types for International Real Estate clients. Presentation of findings and analysis of inspections to building / portfolio owners and investors.
Legal Consultancy
Working in the field of Technical Due Diligence has required regular interface with legal consultants and experience has been gained in Planning Procedure (review of Building Permits and Environmental Permits), Fire regulations (inspection of existing buildings and review of fire authority reports) and Asbestos (review of Asbestos inventories / Asbestos Free & Safe certificates).
Insurance Valuations
Undertaking property inspections and advising Clients on Building Reinstatement Cost Assessments and Fire Insurance Valuations. Reporting on daily task progress, chairing/attending meetings and communicating with Clients.
Adrian TAGG is also currently an Associate Professor in Building Surveying (lecturing Building Pathology , Commercial Surveying Practice, Inclusive Environments) at the University of Reading in the UK www.reading.ac.uk http://www.reading.ac.uk/CME/about/staff/a-tagg.aspx and is also the designated author for the Due Diligence section of the RICS isurv website.
